The Challenges Of Kenyan Orphans

Kenyan orphans are the most in the entire world because the country is not economically stable therefore poverty leads to death of different parents. They have no one to care and protect them hence are all alone in this harsh country. They have no food; clothes and even security which makes a child grow to be independent after being brought up by both of the parents or even one of them.

Orphanages help some of them who are easily accessed and those not lucky to be adopted have no choice but go to the streets. They look for food on their own and they normally beg or steal for them to fill their stomachs and have a place to cover their heads. This leads to increased rate of suicide and crimes while others have to be prostitutes to earn a living.

There are places set aside to house those kids by giving them food, shelter and education. They rely on well wishers who provide the basics and during certain times, they do not get those items because the supply is not constant and anytime could cease. The people who own those institutions ensure that they are protected and feel safe than living on their own.

There are challenges experienced in this institutions especially lack of proper education since teachers are not qualified and do not have the equipments to teach. The government has tried to step up and assist them as one of the schools in the country. It is not easy since a lot of funds are required to renovate and hire professionals.

Religious institutions have also helped the people in taking care of the young ones by setting up institutions called children home that caters for the high population in the country. They provide all the necessities through the contributions given to them by the members and even some give food and clothes to these little children for free. The workers in those institutions are self willing and most even do it for free or self voluntary to help the society.

The problems and harsh life that they go through makes them take certain measures which lead them to criminal activities. They are found on the streets begging for food, others become thugs and the girls sell their bodies at a price in order to earn a living. This is the life of hardship and temptations as well as idleness therefore looking for any means to be able to suit their age mates who have succeeded in life.

Poor leadership in many countries is a result of the unending rate of poverty. The leaders are corrupt and self centered who want to acquire things for their own benefit and do not mind whether the residents are suffering or not. This as increased poverty levels which in turn causes death and reduced population which when maintained leads to rise in economic status.

Kenyan orphans who are in local area do not have a chance of bettering their lives due to lack of exposure. They remain in the village and rely on the residents for support even if those members are poor they try to give them all they require. The country needs a lot of effort to stand up and take care of them.
